The Falk pants are knitted from the top down, which gives you good control over length and fit as you go. First, a casing for a drawstring is knitted in the ribbing, then the upper part of the pants is knitted in plain stockinette stitch before continuing with the pattern. Finally, the legs are finished with an elastic ribbing that fits snugly around the ankle. When the pants are done, an i-cord drawstring is knitted and threaded through the casing.
