ANDERS shorts (English)

This pattern is in English.

The Anders shorts are knitted from the top to bottom in st st. First you knit a drawstring on circular needles for your i-cord and/or elastic band for the shorts to fit better around the waist. The work is then divided into a front and back piece. The front and back pieces are knitted back and forth to make an opening for the pockets, before they are knitted together again on a circular needle. In the end the legs are knitted separately. We have chosen to knit the pockets and i-cord in a contrast color.

Sizes: 3-6 mos (6-9 mos) 9-12 mos (1-2 yrs) 2-3 yrs (3-4 yrs)
Width: 22 (23) 24 (25) 26 (27) cm
Length: 18 (20) 21 (23) 25 (27) cm
Needle size: Circular needles and double pointed needles 3 mm and 3,5 mm (U.S. size 3 and 4)
Gauge: 22 sts per 10 cm
Yarn quantity: Color A: 50 (100) 100 (100) 100 (100) gr. Color B: 50 gr in all sizes.
Recommended yarn: Sandnes Garn Duo or other light yarn with the same gauge.
Other: For the waist you can either knit an i-cord and/or insert an elastic band.
